You have way better ideas, start believing them

My daughter is in the sweetest phase of life right now, where she doesn’t second-guess herself, and let me tell you, I’m HERE for it. It doesn’t matter if I’m suggesting an activity to do, what type of snack to have, or trying to support her in problem solving, she loves to turn to me and say some iteration of “no mom, I have a way better idea, watch this” This behaviour is great for many reasons, not least of which is her belief in her own ideas above everything else.

May this post inspire you to have more of this energy in your own life.

Coming from my 5-year old, it's adorable. But for you, believing in the value of your own ideas is a fundamental practice that should not be overlooked, especially if you're an entrepreneur or beginning down a new path in your life.

So if you are at the point where things are feeling sticky, uncertain, a bit chaotic, or you are doubting your ability to figure out the next step and are searching outside of yourself for answers—here are 5 reasons why you need to believe in your own ideas and finally start to bet on yourself:

If you can, connect to an idea that's on your mind. It could be a solution you've been thinking about, something you want to learn more about, a person you've been thinking of reaching out to...almost anything counts here.

1.Every idea that comes to you has arrived on purpose. It’s not random—it’s a seed already carrying the potential to grow, and if it landed in your mind, you have what you need to help it bloom.

2. When you trust your ideas, even the small ones, you build confidence. Each time you follow through, you prove to yourself that you’re capable and worth sticking with. That trust ripples outward, making it easier to be authentic in every part of life.

3. But when you ignore your ideas, the opposite happens. It’s like rejecting your own voice, and over time it can create doubt, misaligned choices, and detours that pull you away from yourself. Honoring your ideas is one of the strongest ways to practice self-acceptance.

4. Remember too, the first idea is rarely the final picture. Inspiration is a process that leads you down unexpected paths, opening doors to joy, insight, and possibilities you couldn’t see at the start.

5. Ultimately, saying yes to your ideas is saying yes to life itself. They are pure creative energy—your own life force wanting expression. Following them fuels your vitality, your fulfillment, and your flow. Instead of draining your energy living against your own flow, trying to suppress it, or walking someone else’s path, embrace the uniqueness of your own ideas because they are perfectly matched to your skills, capabilities, and will lead you where you need to go for fulfillment and vitality.
